I founded Jatib Property Management at 23 years old. What began as a single rental unit on Calle Loíza has grown into a business I operate and manage daily. Alongside my management staff, cleaners, and maintenance team, we currently serve over 35 rental units for six different clients across Puerto Rico.

For a long time, I believed one of the biggest advantages a person could have was discovering their passion early in life. That way, you can dedicate time to learning and refining your craft from the start. Ironically, I did not discover mine until midway through my time at Bentley University. While studying business, I developed a deep interest in engineering and mechanical systems. Engines, brushless motors, RC planes and cars, and understanding how things work at a fundamental level genuinely fascinated me.

At the time, that curiosity felt separate from my studies. After graduating and gaining more control over my schedule, I was able to dedicate more time to those interests. Eventually, I realized I could combine what I learned in business school with the technical knowledge I was building on my own.

That combination has shaped how I approach property management.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been collaborating closely with Puerto Rico’s masons, electricians, plumbers, gardeners, specialists and technicians. One of the biggest weaknesses in property management is a lack of understanding of the property itself. Over the years, I have managed a wide range of homes and seen firsthand how different each one can be. Water pressure, AC systems, hot water capacity, electrical limitations, and infrastructure details all directly impact both operations and guest experience. 

Because of my technical curiosity and hands on involvement, I do not just manage properties. I understand them. I am able to coordinate and oversee projects such as generator installations, pressure tanks, and other critical systems, ensuring properties are properly set up to perform reliably in the short term rental market.

That blend of business discipline, operational experience, and technical understanding is what allows Jatib Property Management to stand out. We do more than list homes. We help owners build well functioning, resilient properties designed for long term success.
